Attention All Ministerial Staff, Officers, and Ministry Leaders: Saint James will host an AED (Defibrillator) Training on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at 12:00 PM.

The month of December at Saint James is “Ministry Emphasis Month.” During each worship experience, 15 to 20 ministry leaders will stand before the congregation in an effort to put a name with a face. Pastor Slaughter is encouraging every member that isn’t presently serving in a ministry to petition God concerning what ministry they should join.  Please visit, click on the top left-hand corner “menu” icon and scroll down to “ministries.” After clicking on the “ministries” tab, you will be able to view all the ministries of Saint James. Please come prepared in the month of December to meet the ministry leader of the ministry you desire to be a part of. Every ministry leader will have materials available to share and inform persons about their ministry. It’s time to get involved. #MakingDisciples #MeetingNeeds

Attention: Pastor Slaughter is sincerely requesting the prayers and patience of the members of the Saint James Family as he begins PHASE Two of his doctoral dissertation writing. Pastor will be unavailable for appointments through November 26, 2017. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

The first year of Saint James "Dirt to Destiny" Capital Campaign, ended on January 31, 2017. The Campaign experienced phenomenal success. Saint James was able to raise 95% of its first- year capital campaign goal. Year Two has officially started. Pastor Slaughter is strongly encouraging all members to make a pledge for the 2017 capital campaign. If you can pledge $5, $10, $15, $20 a week or per month, it will help the capital campaign tremendously. If you need a pledge card, please look in the back of your pew, contact the church office or complete the form online at If you made a pledge in 2016 and desire to continue with that pledge, there is no need to fill out another pledge card. If you desire to increase the amount you gave in 2016, please fill out another pledge card and turn it in during any offering moment. When making contributions to the capital campaign, please write it on your envelope or on the designated line of your envelope. Remember Acts 5:39. We believe God!
