Saint James has gone PINK! All members of the Saint James Family are wearing shades of pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Please continue to pray for those who are fighting breast cancer, survived breast cancer, or lost loved ones to breast cancer.

 

First Lady Kyla T. Slaughter sincerely thanks everyone who wished her a Happy 43rd Birthday on yesterday, October 26, 2019. You helped make this her best birthday yet! 

 

Today, The Saint James Village celebrates its 13th Anniversary of worship at our South Orange Campus, held at the South Orange Performing Arts Center. Please continue to pray for our ministry in South Orange as we continue to Make Disciples, Build Families and Meet Needs.

The Men’s and Evangelism Ministries, invites all men and women to attend and participate in a healthy discussion on “Does God Determine Your Voting Decisions”?

 

A Real Talk Symposium on: Would God approve of the voting choices we make on today's issues? Saturday, November 9, 2019, from 10:00-11:30 AM in the Upper Fellowship Hall. Breakfast will be served.

 

The Newark branch of the NAACP invites Saint James to join them for their 105th Freedom Fund Gala Awards Brunch, featuring Dr. Ronald L. Slaughter as the Keynote Speaker. The Gala is scheduled for Saturday, November 2, 2019, at 11:00 AM at The Robert Treat Hotel. The cost of tickets is $100.00. Please contact the church office to purchase tickets by this Thursday, October 31st.

 

Beginning next Sunday, November 3rd, and Sunday, November 10th, the “Sow a Seed” offering will be designated for Saint James’ Annual “Be a Blessing” outreach ministry. Pastor Slaughter is sincerely requesting that all members prayerfully consider the amount that they will sow into this annual campaign. In partnership with SJSSC, “Be a Blessing” allows Saint James to meet the needs of this community during the holiday season by providing Thanksgiving and Christmas Baskets and toys for those in need. Remember, God loves a cheerful giver.

 

Due to unforeseen circumstances, The Saint James' YPD Annual Community Safe Harvest Party, scheduled for Thursday, October 31, 2019, has been canceled. We will continue to collect donations of individually wrapped candies and will distribute to the youth who come to the church that evening. Thank you for your understanding,  YPD Directors, David and Sharon Chatman. Attention: Don’t forget to set your clocks back one hour next Sunday, November 3, 2019, for the end of daylight savings time.
