Upon joining the church, new members are assigned a Class Leader whose responsibility is to stay in contact with the member and to serve as a spiritual mentor.

Harvest To Heaven

Harvest To Heaven is a ministry that is devoted to the welfare and spiritual growth of our widows and widowers. Our goal is to give them the support that they need to maintain their lifestyles, provide comfort in times of difficulty with compassion. It is our sincerest hope that we will provide our widows/widowers with practical tools for leading a joyous, abundant, and prosperous life.

Lay Organization

Meeting Dates and Times: 3rd Thursday of the month, 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM

The Saint James Lay Organization whose mission declares, “that being led by the spirit and empowered to serve, will set new goals and a new agenda for the new century and continue to lead the church from membership to discipleship.” Their theme, “Laity Sowing Seeds Beyond The Walls: An Agenda of Ministry and Service”, best exemplifies the efforts of the ministry.

New Life Ministry

Meeting Dates and Times: Sundays, 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM

This teaching ministry introduces new members to basic terminology and biblical concepts common to Christianity. An overview of Methodism with special emphasis on the origin and structure of the AME Church is also provided.

U-Can Survive

To empower and support person touched by cancer, their caregivers, and loved one, by offering resources to enhance life as they move forward.

Visitation Ministry

Ministry Leader:
Rev. Garvey Ince

The Visitation Ministry has brought joy, love, and comfort to many members who are unable to attend church. They seek to empower and encourage sick and shut-in members through prayer and visitation.
